Altieri is first and foremost a family business, spearheaded by Eugene Altieri and nurtured by his 11 children. Their two estates, Mima and Pipim, span across the Boquete region and produce geisha, typica, catuai, and caturra microlots.

When we visited the Alteiris earlier this year, we knew we wanted to bring back the delicate taste of their washed geisha. Grown on the edge of the Volcan Baru National Park forest in the Alessa plot of the Mima Estate at 1800masl, this coffee was mechaniclayy pulped then washed with filtered water, then dried in a greenhouse on african beds for 7 days. This lot is truly representative of the Boquete terroir, polished by Altieri’s high quality standards and pride for what they do.
