Alo hosted their very first private auction this year and we secured a very small lot that we're excited to release this week. When we visited Tamiru in Sidama, we were really impressed by the sophistication of his dark drying rooms in such a remote area of Ethiopia.
That's why we had to bid on EF1, a 74158 nanolot farmed by Debebe Daqamo in Alo Village that underwent Tamiru's eclipse fermentation. The anaerobic natural coffee was slow-dried for 57 days in the dark room, where the slow water evaporation deepened the sweetness of the coffee and gave rise to its smooth, velvety body.
