Finca Los Tonos and Corazon de Jesus processing mill are located in Chirripo in Brunca region,  the southern area of Costa Rica near the  bordered of Panama.

Micromill is owned by the Alvarado Fonseca family which established in 2015, with a mission to earn recognition nationally and internationally for their quality and innovation while always working in harmony with the environment.  And since 2022, Alvarado Fonseca family have won several COE award including 1st place of washed & Honey and natural in 2025.

This Milenio varietal is a first-generation (F1) hybrid originating from a cross between rust-resistant T5296 and Ethiopian landrace Rume Sudan.The variety was part of the first wave of F1 hybrid varieties created by a consortium including French research institute CIRAD.
